Strange Question: Depending from the height a person falls determines mechanism of death. From a greater ht the rope often 'breaks their neck' ; death occurs more quickly. Otherwise the rope blocks the blood supply to the brain from carotid arteries, but the rope also keeps blood from draining away from the head, thus some swelling builds up. The sooner a mortician can have access to the body the better appearance.
