What are early symptoms of mouth cancer you can watch for?

Nonhealing ulcers.: Most patients present at over 50 years of age. Symptoms vary with the primary site. Oral cavity lesions can present with nonhealing ulcers that are painful. Hoarseness is an early symptom of laryngeal or throat cancer. Sore throat or otalgia can be a late symptom of oropharyngeal cancer. Rarely, patients can have rock hard cervical or supraclavicular lymph node enlargement.

A few: Non healing sores, pain, or new lesions are some of the symptoms.

Ulcer: Whitish plaques, thickened mucosa, non-healing ulcer, unexplained pain and feel of a foreign body in the mouth.

Signs/Symptoms: See oral surgeon or ENT doc if you have any of these symptoms: Persistent mouth sore, persistent mouth pain, a lump or thickening in the cheek, a white/red patch on the gums, tongue, tonsil, or lining of the mouth, a sore throat, hoarseness or feeling that something is caught in the throat that does not go away, difficulty swallowing/chewing.
