Depression: Supplement with vitamin d-3, exercise daily, preferably outdoors or at a gym with a companion. Try to make the winter your friend, the more you hibernate creates greater sense of alienation. Best.

Winter depression: A couple of options are taking extra vitamin d, and light therapy. If your vitamin d level is less than 50, it can predispose to depression. Talk with your doctor about taking 5000iu/day during winter. Or, get a lightbox that produces 10000 lux for most efficiency. Talk with doctor about gradually working up to 30 min sessions 3x/week, when you first wake up. Sit 3 feet away. Increase exercise.
