Check with your Doc: The pain you're describing in your chest very well could be pleuritic chest pain. This commonly occurs after a cold or prolonged cough and is an irritation of the lining of your lungs. Your chest could also hurt with costochondritis which is an inflammation where the ribs connect to your chest bone. This often can hurt when coughing or with movements.
