A member asked:

When i breath in or sneeze my left side of my chest hurts like where my heart is located?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not your heart: You have PLEURITIC pain - this is not from your heart. It's from the muscles, ribs and nerves of your chest wall and, sometimes, from the lining of your lung (pleura). If it is worse also when you lie flat and relieved by sitting forward, it might also be due to the outside sac lining of your heart (the pericardium).
