A member asked:

Can gad cause high bp? hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) made my bp lower than normal and i was dizzy a lot. could it just be psychosomatic?

GAD?: Not sure how you're using that abbreviation (gad)? If hctz (hydrochlorothiazide) made your BP too low, i would be suspicious that you don't really have high blood pressure. A good way to confirm that is to purchase a home BP cuff and check it at home, at rest, over several weeks and bring your readings to your provider for review. In your case, it might make sense to do that off the hctz (hydrochlorothiazide).
