Cough, Cold: Cough with mucous, runny nose is part of common cold, now is the season. Keep temp. Inside house 70 f during day, 68 f at night, use a Vicks vaporizer, humidifier at night. Make sure she drinks enough fluid, avoid giving dairy 5-7 days. Can use mucolytic, e.g. Mucinex (guaifenesin) at night if cough disturbs sleep. Remember: cough is natural defense mechanism, brings the mucous out and prevent entering in lungs.
