Constipation: What was seen on the ct scan was fecal retention. Lots of stool in the colon. Seeing this on the ct does not make the constipation worse, it is the severity of your symptoms that determines the significance. Barium based contrast from the ct may be constipating. Drinking lots of fluids and eating fruits and vegetables for fiber can help get things moving. A stool softener like MiraLAX (polyethylene glycol) may help.
