Treatment options for inflammation (bursitis) of right scapula, occasional cracking sound?

Bursitis: General principles of management of bursitis include patient education and nsaids initially. If this doesn't work, glucocorticoid injections and, as a last resort, surgery may be suggested by the physician. Scapulothoracic bursitis may be best treated initially with physical therapy. I would avoid aggravating activities such as working overhead, reaching up and forward, and doing pushups.

See details: If the cracking sound causes pain, it is unlikely to be bursitis. See an orthopedist. A rhomboid bursitis will resolve with a cortisone injection.
