A member asked:

I have achilles tendonopathy with possible retrocalcaneal bursitis what are my options and what treatment is there?

Several: Going to physical therapy may help as well as wearing a supportive brace to help rest the tendon. An injection of steroid with immobilization may help.

See below: Rest, ice/heat/physical therapy, stretching exercises, heel lift, orthotics and in some cases an injection. There are surgical options as well but not as a first line treatment.
