I breathe through one nose most of the time.air goes through both but one nostril takes most of it in and the other one takes a little. normal?

Likely normal: My observation has been that most people breathe through on nostril at a time. That shouldn't be abnormal. However if you've had trauma to the nose or are constantly plugging the same bistro from sinus congestion or allergies you might want to have that checked out by an ENT doc.

Not normal.: It seems that you have the nose septum deviated. Or have some tissue growth on the side of the problem . Some over the counter medications will help with the symptoms, but if it's really bad, or worsens, you should see an specialist ;ent doctor (ear nose and throat).
