A member asked:

Is it possible to faint when you're already lying down?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes but it's hard: Fainting is due to lack of blood flow to the brain. Anything interfering with blood flow can cause fainting. Being upright simply makes you more susceptible to the effects of gravity because blood has to be pumped "uphill".
