Just be vigilant: We avoid honey in infants because it sometimes contains botulism spores that can grow in the baby gut and produce the toxin. Paralysis of the breathing apparatus is the biggest concern. Pay close attention to the infant. If always pink and regular in breathing while active and asleep, no worry. If baby seems too tired, too constipated, inactive or breathing is irregular take baby in for evaluation.
