Tough call: Both bulimia and anorexia can place enormous strain on body functions--to the point of death. Also, some people have both, so-call bulimerxia. Bulimia entails gorging then purging--usually vomiting or laxitives; both can mess up electrolytes, leading to heart problems. Anorexia is starvation thru calorie restriction and/or exercise. Once fat is gone, the body feeds on muscle, including heart.

Both are significant problems. Please have a complete physical exam to know if you have a physical illness. Then see a clinical psychologist with expertise in multiple types of psychotherapy for help coping and a Psychiatrist for medication. A support group can be helpful.
