Eating disorders: Anorexia nervosa and bulimia are both eating disorders. Anorexics severely restrict food, and bulimics may both binge on food and then vomit many times a day. This can cause many physical problems such as esophageal and stomach injury, tooth decay, dehydration, electrolyte depletion, cardiac arrhythmia, and even death. Sometimes laxatives are used also, which worsens things in both conditions.
