Yes: Lorazepam can be addictive and can be very unsafe to withdraw from. While it is safe to withdraw from narcotics, benzodiazepines have to be carefully weaned to avoid seizures. Lorazepam can be a very safe and effective medication but it can definitely be addictive. Be cautious and share any concerns with your prescriber.
