Yes: Cysts are fluid filled sacs and most certainly occur after root canal therapy has been completed.

RCT success: Rct is not 100% successful although the rate is high. Of the ones that fail, sometimes a cyst forms either prior to or after root canal therapy. Other cysts not associated with rct can occur as well.
