Can you tell me more about closed head injury and specific language impairment?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends on location: This is a good question. If you are concerned specifically about language impairment, you want to be aware of specific injuries near or adjacent to the language regions. This would be the left frontal and temporal regions. If there was injury to this region in the form of contusions/bruises/blood clots there can be problems with speech generation and/or interpretation. A speech therapist may help.
