A member asked:

How do a concussion and a closed head injury differ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Basically the same: There are several other terms for concussion that mean basically the same thing, including closed head injury and tbi (traumatic brain injury). "closed head injury" is as opposed to an open head injury, which includes a skull fracture.
