YES: Good of you to be looking out for your dad. He should see the dentist to check for accelerated wearing down of the teeth. He should also be considered for having a custom night guard made by the dentist and lab. This will help prevent further wearing down of the teeth and may also help reduce the grinding and certainly the noise. Good luck.
