Please give me some ideas why my father would have very white foam come out of his mouth while sleeping. he is 72 and takes pain meds?

URI, PNDS, Reflux: Does he have nasal stuffiness or upper respiratory symptoms (uri)? Does he snore or has he been snoring lately? If yes he may be having a post nasal drip (pnds)some of which may cause frothing around the mouth. He may also have reflux from his stomach because of multiple causes including increased acidity and secretion because of using pain medications. Treatment will be based on most likely cause.
