See dentist age 1: Your child should have his/her first dental visit by age 1 to identify early anomalies, to build good relationship with the child and to help you learn to care for their oral condition. That said, the canines are the last to come in. Timing is irrelevant, order of eruption (and their subsequent loss) is paramount.
