Munchausen by proxy syndrome, can you tell me about this?

MUNCHAUSEN SYNDROME: Somatoform or factitious disorder another name for hypochondriasis . Patient will make up illnesses which are not true.

Make someone ill: This disorder is a psychiatric illness where a caretaker makes the person in their care ill or describes symptoms of illness that prompt lots of medical attention/workup. Most often a parent doing things to or saying things are wrong with their baby or child. May intentionally do things that cause harm to child. Psych disorder aimed at gaining lots of attention for the parent. Very sad for child..
