I'm missing a tooth, just had braces put on, can i have a permanant tooth put in there?

Yes: The braces can close the space so that you do not need to put another tooth in. Also after the braces are complete, if the space is still there you can have an implant placed and a crown will be glued on top of the implant. Another option is a bridge or partial. You can often have a tooth attached to your braces while the braces are causing the teeth to move.

Depends: I agree with earlier answer. However, if a tooth needs to be placed , be sure the orthodontist and restorative dentist work out the spacing for optimal results and especially the angulation of the roots. See a prosthodontist for an evaluation and opinion. They are the experts in replacement teeth. Good luck.

Yes..later on, but: While your orthodontist is working on establishment of proper bite and spacing for ur upcoming tooth, you can work out a plan with ur dentist/prosthodontist, along with an implant surgeon (periodontist or oral surgeon ) and make all 3 dentists orchestrate the best sequential treatment plan for you.
