CAPD: This is a lengthy topic that demands a referral to a website: www.Asha.Org/docs/html/tr2005-00043.Html about this document. This technical report was developed by the american speech-language-hearing association (asha) working group on auditory processing disorders.

Link for parents: This is a great link for parents should capd be a concern in your child. Medications are not usually prescribed for capd per se. Therapy with a speech-language pathologist is helpful. Medications are considered when there is thought to be an attention or focusing problem in addition to the capd. http://m.kidshealth.org/parent/medical/ears/central_auditory.html.
