Yes: No harm by giving n acetyle cystein to a 4 years old, but it does not cure otitis media. The cause for otitis media is usually combination of some physical features, such as round face and eustacian tube dysfunction as well as upper respiratory tract infection with viruses. It gets complicated often with added some bacteria in complicated uris which requires antibiotic consumption. Shahzeidi, md.
