What should i do if i have been experiencing dry eye symptoms for around 3-6 weeks. does this seem a bit too excessive for dry eye alone?

No: Chronic dry eye symptoms can certainly last that long. Certain conditions will exacerbate the symptoms and certainly changes in the weather will effect your dry eyes. See an ophthalmologist for a complete exam for further treatment. You may have seasonal allergies too.
