What to do if i keep getting sharp pains in my left hand index finger. any reasons why?

Multiple causes: Including carpal tunnel syndrome which is one of the most common causes of sharp shooting pains in index finger, thumb and middle finger. Beyond that, can be anything from arthritis to a neuropathy, would need more info but hope that answer points you in the right direction!
