A member asked:

What to do if i had bloody stool today, it was dark, i am going to the dr.s, but i think its from nsaids?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possible nsaid: Dark blood suggests that if this does represent true bleeding it is coming from higher up in the colon then the ano-rectal region. Nsaid such as aspirin, motrin, etc. Can cause minor bleeding problems especially if taken in large doeses for several days. Hemangiomas of the bowel can be the causative factor initiating the problem.
