Remember the song: Whistle a happy tune? The best defense against teasing and humiliation is to find a way to act as if it does not bother you. Make a counter joke and pretend that you think the teasing is funny. You can also talk to a therapist to come up with creative strategies. Bullies pick on people they feel are weak who seem upset by their humiliation. Make a new circle of friends, too.

Humiliation: Realize that those who tease and humiliate are extremely insecure and usually struggle with a deep sense of inadequacy. Try to understand the root of their disturbance and realize it is not about you but about those who chose cruelty to mask their inadequacy. Best.
