can you tell me how to check for cancer in previous caner patients?

Dr. Gurmukh Singh
48 years experience Pathology
Depends: It depends on the type and location of previous cancer. Some cancers, e.g., prostate, colon, ovary and liver can be monitored by blood tests. Others may require imagining studies. Some may be monitored by physical examination only. It is not an issue for doing it yourself.
