Epigenetics: Epigenetics is the process of altering, or turning on and off certain genes based on the environment. The environment of the fetus is maternal physiology. Many theories now that maternal factors control much of this process. So the answer is yes, but how much and what aspects affect the preg. We feel the biggest effect is thru nutrition and it's effect on metabolic syndrome in the child/adult.
