Cause not known: The headaches are called cluster because they come in clusters for a few weeks or months then then disappear for moths or even years only to come back again in next cluster. They often occur several times a day lasting usually less than 30 minutes and awqken the patient from night sleep. There are medications and oxygen to treat these during the duration of cluster.
