Osteogenenisis imper: OI affects or has to do with the collagen all over the body. Either too little or a variation in the structure of the collagen . These conditions are due to genes not coding for the correct or sufficient protein structure of the collagen. There are last count about 8 different subtypes of OI. So yes the collagen with in a fibrous joint can be affected as is the collagen in the body everywhere.
