Several things: Colon, small bowel can get full, gas, air. Fluid in abdomen. Local swelling of soft tissue or hernia are also possible in left abdomen. Rarely an enlarged kidney or mass can occur. FIND out by seeing your PCP with full history and good physical exam, and the testing as guided by these factors.
