Cancer? Unlikely: But, it can cause very serious damage to the gastrointestinal tract as well as other body systems. It is definitely a potentially critical medical threat. Indirectly, possible: Bulimia results in chronic self-induced vomiting -- which can cause inflammation and damage to stomach and esophagus. If this is severe and chronic enough, cellular changes could ultimately result in cancer. Other damages -- like GI bleeding and electrolyte disturbances, etc -- might occur sooner, though.
