It depends: Divorce is painful for kids, but resources indicate that they do recover well. http://tinyurl.com/d4koj4j this recovery depends on how the parents treat each other and the child. Some are bitter and fight with each other through the child, and this does not provide the support the child needs. If the child also has a cleft lip that needs help, the parents need to stand together for the child.
