Egocentrism : According to piaget's theory of development, egocentrism is an inability of children to be aware of any point of view other than their own. This is normal at early stages of development. If this persists into adulthood, one might be said to have an egocentric personality. When adults lack empathy and show a pervasive pattern of grandiosity, however, they may have narcissistic personality disorder.
