No such DSM disorder: We all know what we mean by the word "egocentric". Self-centered, vane, lacking interest in others unless it serves them in some way, etc. We generally don't like or admire those folk. But it is not a disorder defined by the mental health profession for diagnosis or treatment.

Narcissism: Do you mean narcissistic personality disorder? Narcissistic personality disorder is characterized by unwarranted feelings of self-importance. A sense of entitlement and grandiosity. They have a strong need for admiration, but lack feelings of empathy. These qualities are usually defenses against a deep feeling of inferiority. Best wishes.
