Nerve irritation: The position of your arm while sleeping probably either irritated a nerve, or cut off blood supply to the muscles which allow you to move your arm. This is common, as long as the sensation and movement normalizes within several minutes of waking up. If it does not return to normal, you need to see your doctor.
