A member asked:

I have a retroverted uterus & a 5cm cyst on my left ovary that caused a miscarriage. could i have reoccurring miscarriages if not treated?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Are you sure?: There are certain uterine anomalies that can result in a miscarriage, or spontaneous abortion. These include septate, bicornuate, and obstructed hemi-uterus. Surgical correction is not usually indicated for a retroverted uterus. Ovarian cysts are not known to be related to loss of a fetus. If they are large, cause pain, or believed to be cancerous, they may be treated with surgery.
