Are you sure?: There are certain uterine anomalies that can result in a miscarriage, or spontaneous abortion. These include septate, bicornuate, and obstructed hemi-uterus. Surgical correction is not usually indicated for a retroverted uterus. Ovarian cysts are not known to be related to loss of a fetus. If they are large, cause pain, or believed to be cancerous, they may be treated with surgery.
