Not necessarily.: The differential diagnosis includes ectopic pregnancy (life-threatening), miscarriage and early normal pregnancy with or without ovarian pathology (it could be a corpus luteum normal cyst). Serial beta HCG testing and a follow-up sonogram should help your ob/gyn reach the correct diagnosis for you soon. Best of luck!
