Comorbidity: Your headache is existing simultaneously but independently with the root canal infection or it can indicate a related condition. To rule out the connection, fix the tooth infection first. If headache persist see headache specialist.

It can: Pain in the head, neck, and jaws very often is felt in areas outside where the source is. This is true of toothaches (i.e. Root canal infections), muscle pain (myofascial, tmd, muscle tension), among other things. You could always seek an evaluation by an endodontist to rule out a tooth source. If still unsure, see your physician.
