My 7 month old hit head, er doc said she's ok-minor trauma.is xray necessary in this case?how can i know for sure there isn't any brain or skull damage

Head trauma: Your doctor has checked your child and found only minor trauma. You should not worry as long as baby is fine. Taking xrays, which would be a ct scan delivers a lot of x radiation to the infant which can be harmful, and radiation stays in the body indefinitely. Do not take xrays unless very necessary.
