It's possible.: A strained rotator cuff from an acute or chronic problem or injury can limit mobility over time, especial if there is a frank tear. It can also cause inflammation and if severe enough may lead to an adhesive capsulitis "frozen shoulder" or a bursitis. Best check with an orthopedic or physical medicine ; rehab specialist.
