A member asked:

Hip pain from fracture, when is it going to go away?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: The simple answer is the pain will stop when the fracture heals. However, there are many factors that actually need to be considered. These include bone quality, location of the fracture, the cause of the fracture, was there a problem with the hip before the fracture that was made worse, and could the pain felt in the hip be referred from some place outside the hip.
