Os-cal is a suppl-: -lement for those who have deficient calcium levels, and needs 2 be taken with Vit-D-3, 2000iu/day. in order to decrease the chance of a hip fracture, adequate calcium in your diet is important as well as weight bearing exercise. if you have osteoporosis, there are many factors 2 consider for treatment. Fm Hx, fracture Hx, T-score. you need to see an internist that treats the entity,no easy fix.
