Taper: You'd not be taking Prednisone as a maintenance for hives because it can cause great harms. Consult an allergist for alternate treatment. Why you are having problem now is that Prednisone had been masking your problem which has never gone away. Until you can get to see an allergist, try taking antihistamine at least 2x daily.
