How long ago?: It takes time to heal. Warfarin prevents new clots and allows healing of the old clot but it doesn't stop pain. If this is acute, you will need an analgesic, like Ibuprofen or Aspirin (which increases your risk of bleeding) along with the warfarin to relieve the pain. If the pain resolved and came back, i'd check with your doctor. Be sure your inr is therapeutic. (2-3).
