Garlic: Garlic has been suggested to possibly have therapeutic benefit in management of hypercholesterolemia. However, one large, well-conducted randomized clinical trial revealed no benefit in lowering LDL (so-called 'bad cholesterol'). Garlic, therefore, has not been proven to have any clinical benefit in management of disease, particularly hypercholesterolemia.
